On January 19th Ventura County Public Health is partnering with the California Department of Public Health to host a "No Cost Vaccine Clinic."  The clinic will be held from 4pm to 7pm at 2500 South "C" Street in Oxnard. The event will be held in the back of the Center Point Mall next to our Public Health clinic. Look for our signs.

We will be vaccinating adults, teens and children who may qualify for the following no cost vaccine clinic:
. Influenza - Seasonal Flu Vaccine for those 3 years of age and older who have not yet been vaccinated this year.
. Tdap - tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis for all those in contact with children 1 year of age or older, all women of childbearing age, before, during or after pregnancy, and those in contact with pregnant women.
. Pneumovax - Pneumonia vaccine for all adults 65 years of age or older, or those with long term health problems as well as those who smoke or have asthma.

WHY SHOULD YOU GET THESE VACCINES???
. Influenza - Even healthy people can get seasonal flu, and it can be serious. Protect yourself and those around you.
. Tdap - Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, is a highly contagious respiratory disease and we are currently experiencing a large state-wide outbreak.
. Pneumovax - Pneumococcal disease (pneumonia) can be fatal. In some cases, it can result in long-term problems.

Please join us for our "No Cost Vaccine Clinic" from 4pm to 7pm on January 19th!
