How do I get a big brother or big sister for my child?

We have two programs in which a youth can be assigned a Big Brother or Big Sister.

1.  Site Based After School Big Brother or Big Sister:   If your child attends Bridges after school or the Boys and Girls Club he/she is eligible to be assigned a high school big brother/sister.  The high school "Big" would go to the Bridges/Club program one day a week for approximately one hour and would meet with your child, talk with him/her, encourage her/him and participate in whatever activity he/she is doing at that time.  There are also special trips and events that they could participate in together.  The youth are supervised all times during their "match meeting time".  For more information on Site Based After School Mentoring call Amelia @ 910-6643 or Daniel @ 298-2237.

2.  Community Based Mentoring:  A community adult is matched with your child as a mentor to meet with him/her once a week, do activities together, for support and encouragement. For more information on Community Based Mentoring call Match Support Specialist - Alice @ 910-9330.
