Do you know of a parent dealing with a difficult or defiant teen?  The Parent Project is a FREE 10-week series of classes offered through a partnership between the Oxnard Union High School District, the Oxnard Police Department, and City Impact to help parents become equipped to deal with difficult teens.

Participating parents will learn how to:

o       Prevent (or stop) children from using alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs.

o       Stop parent-child arguments forever!

o       Improve children’s grades and school attendance.

o       Recognize and prevent gang involvement.

o       How to set & consistently enforce boundaries.

o       Learn how to “out-will” a strong-willed child!

Classes in English will be offered at the OUHSD offices (K St./2nd St.) on Wednesdays, October 5 - Dec 14, 6:00-9:00 pm.  Classes in Spanish will be offered at Hueneme High School on Wednesdays, October 5 - Dec 14, 6:00-9:00 pm and at Oxnard High School on Tuesdays, Oct 4 – Dec 13, 6:00-9:00 pm.
