We had two day event: a day where 40 persons (adult, community, one step members, mentors and mentees) came to  discuss Tolerance and Intolerance.  On the first day we had three presentations (Mr. Merkord-US soldier who freed concentration camps in WWII in Germany, Dr. Cynthia King-a consultant who spoke on how intolerance grows within an individual and/or a community and Mr. Berndt Simons -a survivor of both Auschwitz and Dauchau as well as an investigator for the Neurenberg War Crimes Trials and a US soldier during WWII.)  On the second day we all went to see the Museum of Tolerance in Westwood.  Above are two photos of Mr. Simon (one as he was talking, the other with Nelson Medina)  Thank you to all of the presenters who helped us see the dangers of intolerance as well as have a better understanding of the horrors of WWII.  Thank you, also, to each participant.  We learned so much together!
